Yup, there was a six-month rule having to do with weddings and the ability to PCS to the spouse's base. As Katrina's current assignment might end as early as June if she deploys to Irqaq then, this was a logical choice when it came to timing. First one to congratualte her via phone was Dick Rutan (he's known her since she was three. Formal ceremony to be held "sometime in the future".

I can believe it!  Safest spot would have been in one of the porta-johns with the mahogany trim. 

Seriously, though, it was a blessing that it didn't whip up any worse than it did that night before we left. I don't think I'll ever be as cold as I was when I got up from laying in the mud for that shot and the wind went right through my wet clothing! 

Did you notice that the ice sculpture was still in good shape the next day in the video?

Yeah, I got a laugh out of Buzz making it through all that! Shows how cold it was that he hadn't melted. Would like to have seen what was left of the ice bar!
