EAA AirVenture Oshkosh  <rocker>

July 28 - August 3, 2008

Major activities that celebrate the world of flight and bring the entire aviation community together are already taking shape for the 2008 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh fly-in. The 56th annual edition of ?The World?s Greatest Aviation Celebration? will be held July 28-August 3 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.

Specific details for the main activities will be updated regularly over the next several months. The preliminary schedule includes such events as:
?   The 50th anniversary of NASA, with the people and machines that brought a half-century of achievement and history in space and aeronautics and are planning what?s next;
?   Greater opportunities for women to participate in all aspects of aviation, including the encouragement of more women joining the pilot community;
?   Significant aviation anniversaries, such as the 70th anniversary of the T-6 trainer, the 50th anniversary of the Nanchang CJ-6A; the 10th anniversary of Cirrus Design, and more;
?   Aviation innovation, such as the latest developments and products relating to space tourism, unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), electric-powered aircraft, light-sport aircraft and others;
?   The participation of aviators from the around the world, including those who build and restore unique aircraft that grace the AirVenture flight line.

?While the special events and activities at EAA AirVenture each year offer experiences that are unmatched anywhere in the aviation world, it?s the annual aviation family reunion element that is the most memorable feature of what is known simply as ?Oshkosh? around the world,? said Tom Poberezny, EAA president and AirVenture chairman.

EAA AIRVENTURE OSHKOSH is The World?s Greatest Aviation Celebration and EAA?s yearly membership convention. EAA members receive lowest prices on admission rates.
